COVID 19 Lockdown Status:
Like many establishments, our club is following Federal, State and local guidelines by staying home. Based on current news, we are tentatively targeting June or July to resume activities, but only if it is safe and practical to do so. We will adjust as necessary and keep you apprised. We miss our members and can hardly wait to get on the road again. Stay home and be safe - we’ll be back!


RESCHEDULED! 
Texas Hill Country Run - Burnet!  Saturday and Sunday, October 10-11, 7:45am
Currently sold out.  We will advise if space becomes available.
This event is rescheduled for October 10-11 due to the corona outbreak. Existing room reservations with Canyon of the Eagles resort, (512) 334-2070, will be automatically moved to October 10. If you cannot make that weekend, please call the resort to cancel your reservation (your original confirmation says you will be charged a $25 hotel processing fee). To get event fee refunds and for questions, please contact Lone Star’s Ginny Pitzen, ginnypitzen@yahoo.com, (512) 925-4481. The Lone Star Section will be responsible for refunds as all event fees were paid to them (the small credit card processing fee cannot be refunded).

The Lone Star (Austin) Section will be hosting this year’s Hill Country Run which promises to be a great weekend overnighter. Join us for scenic drives, local flavor meals, wine-tasting, fun and games, and an optional boat ride on Lake Buchanan.  Our headquarters will be the beautiful Canyon of the Eagles resort near Burnet.  As Lone Star will be hosting, attendees will sign up directly with them, and they will be collecting the event fees.  The registration and payment process will be a bit different, so please follow their instructions thoroughly.  The Fort Worth Section will meet at the Starbucks at 4849 Bryant Irvin Rd, Fort Worth at 7:45am and caravan to Burnet.  See maps and directions below.

INFORMATION FROM THE LONE STAR SECTION FOLLOWS:

On Saturday, the sections will meet for lunch at Trailblazer Grill on the square of Burnet.  Following lunch, we will walk across the square for wine tasting at Wedding Oak Winery.  The group will depart the square after wine tasting and make their way through the Hill Country's beautiful winding roads to Canyon of the Eagles resort and check in. There will be free time to enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Buchanan.   Dinner will be held at the resort, and after dinner the Fort Worth Section will have one of their famous games.  After the game there will be free time to socialize, enjoy the beautiful resort and listen to live music.  Everyone will need to make their own hotel reservations. The room rate is $169.00 +. All rooms are 2 queen beds (no kings available).  

On Sunday, we are planning a boat cruise on Lake Buchanan followed by lunch at Flanigan's Texas Distillery/Winery in Bertram, TX. These activities are optional.  After lunch, we will drive home on our own.

EVENT FEES:  Pay Fee 1 if you will participate in all the activities for the weekend, including the boat cruise. Pay Fee 2 if you do not wish to do the boat cruise on Sunday.  Alcohol purchases and other expenses are extra cost items.  Breakfast and lunch on Sunday will be on your own.  You will make these fee selections for you and a guest and pay via Lone Star's sign-up process below.
FEE 1 - For Saturday Activities AND Sunday Boat Cruise:  The fee of $135 per person for MBCA members and immediate family members covers lunch, wine-tasting and dinner on Saturday, and the boat cruise on Sunday. Non-members will be charged $145 per person.
FEE 2 - For Saturday Activities ONLY, No Boat Cruise: The fee of $115 per person for MBCA members and immediate family members covers lunch, wine-tasting and dinner on Saturday. Non-members will be charged $125 per person.

center on the left after the Chase bank.

 



2) Alternative Fort Worth Section Meeting Place in Hico:
Saturday, October 10, 9:15am. Valero gas station in Hico.

It is on the corner of TX-6 (2nd Street) and US-281, Hico, TX.
