NEXT EVENT: Bass Performance Hall Tour plus Lunch, Fort Worth, TX, Saturday, August 3, 9:50am
Our hot weather event will be a guided tour of the magnificent Bass Performance Hall.  The 2,042-seat multipurpose Hall is characteristic of the classic European opera house form. An 80-foot diameter Great Dome, artfully painted by Fort Worth artists, tops the Founders Concert Theater. Two 48-foot tall angels, sculpted from Texas limestone, grace the Grand Facade. The Hall is renowned for its superb acoustics, exceptional sight lines and ambience on level with the great halls of the world.  Its construction and progress were eagerly followed and it caused a sensation when it was opened to the public. The Bass Performance Hall is permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition.  After the Bass Hall tour, we will enjoy a group lunch (pay your own) at Jake's Hamburgers a short walk away.

Date and Time:  Saturday, August 3, 9:50am.  Please be on time.  We will meet you at the Bass Hall west portal on Commerce St & 4th St.  See below.

     Entrance:  West portal at the corner of Commerce St & 4th St (right across the street from the Cheesecake Factory doors).  See map below.
     Please:     No backpacks, No water bottles, No drinks or food.

Parking: The parking garage address is 200 East 4th Street, Fort Worth, just across the street from Bass Hall.  There are signs which say Bass Hall Parking and/or 777 Main Parking North at the garage's entrance.  See map below.  Parking is free on weekends unless there is an unforeseen special event. 

Lunch Venue: Jake's Burger's and Beer, 515 Main St, Fort Worth. (817) 332-5253. It is a 2-minute walk from the Bass Hall.  See map below.  Order from the menu. Separate checks.  Pay your own.  We will be seated in their mezzanine and we will have dedicated servers, so we ask that you include at least an 18% gratuity to your payment.  Please feel free to increase the tip if you are pleased with the food and service.

Signup and Costs:
We will charge an event fee of $10 per person for each attendee.  Non-member guests are welcome.  The event fee will cover a donation to Bass Hall's Children's Education Program, which provides resources on the performing arts to students and teachers. The fee also covers docent tip and the club's administrative costs.  Lunch at Jake's Burgers is pay your own.  Please tip at least 18%.  Help us out by signing up as soon as you can.  We need to apprise headcount to our venues.  You have 2 ways to pay:
