Join
us for a visit to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco and follow
the exploits of this legendary group of enforcers - from the Indian Wars 2
centuries ago to their mission of law enforcement today. The Texas Ranger Hall
of Fame is the official historical center of the Texas Ranger service and is
dedicated to those men who gave their lives in the line of duty or who made
significant contributions to the development of the service. Our tour features a
nice country drive in your air-conditioned cars, a visit to the air-conditioned
Texas Ranger Museum, and lunch at the nearby El Conquistador, an air-conditioned
Mexican restaurant.
We do our best to beat the heat.
Note: While Covid infections appear to be declining, we are not
out of the woods yet. We will be applying the Covid precautions
below as we have done in the past.
I. Cost and Signup:
The
cost of this event will be $8 per person which covers museum admission. The
tour will be self-guided. Lunch will be pay your own.

II.
Meeting Place:
At 8am
(come earlier if you wish to have something to eat),
we will meet for a briefing at the Starbucks on 7429 Oakmont Blvd Suite A, Fort
Worth. It is near the corner of S Bryant Irvin Rd and Oakmont Blvd
south of the Park Place dealership (see map below). From I-20,
head south on Bryant Irvin Rd, go past the Park Place dealership, and
turn left on Oakmont Blvd. The Starbucks will be to your right.
We will depart right after the briefing.
III.
Covid precautions:
Please note that the decision to attend this event
is yours alone, and you assume all risks pertaining to Covid-19 in addition to
the usual risks of event participation. Please do not attend if you have been
exposed to the virus and/or are experiencing Covid or Covid-like symptoms. We
will follow Covid protocols to the extent possible (masks, social distancing,
etc.) to make this event as safe as possible. You will be asked to certify that
you have not knowingly been exposed to Covid-19, and are not experiencing Covid
or Covid-like symptoms. Your temperature will be taken - those who have temps
which reach or exceed the CDC guideline of 100.4 will not be allowed to attend.
Please bring an ample supply of masks, wipes, hand sanitizers, etc. so you may
better protect yourself and others from this virus.
