Join
us for a great drive, a fine lunch, and whiskey and moonshine-tasting. Our lunch destination will be the upscale Riverhouse
Grill in Glen Rose. Elegant but casual, the restaurant occupies a
renovated historic home built in the early1900s. The chef
serves excellent dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients. This venue promises a unique luncheon experience in small-town Texas. After
lunch, we will make our way to the Sledge Distillery in Tolar for an
optional whiskey and moonshine tasting. This tiny distillery
creates whiskey and moonshine from the original recipe found in the war
chest of the owner's father, who served in the military and made
moonshine during World War II. Lunch is included in the $30 event fee.
The optional whiskey-tasting cost is $10, pay your own.
Riverhouse Grill
Menu (lunch, tax and gratuity are included in
the event fee below):
1) Choice of House Salad or Homemade Soup of the
Day.
2) Choice of:
a) Smoked Turkey Panini - smoked turkey, bacon, tomatoes, pesto mayo, &
provolone cheese on grilled bread, served w/fries.
b) Fried Catfish - cornmeal battered & deep fried, served w/coleslaw, tartar
sauce, & fries.
c) Chicken Salad Sandwich - creamy
blend of chicken, dried cranberries, celery, & onions on grilled bread, served
w/fries.
d) Bolognese Pasta - homemade
marinara, ground beef, & pork sausage over linguini pasta, topped w/parmesan.
3) A non-alcoholic beverage.
Alcoholic drinks are not included. The restaurant will
bill you if you wish to enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverage with your lunch,

As this is an optional activity, please pay your
own. The cost is $10/person payable at the door.
Cost and Signup:
We will charge an event fee of $30 per person. The fee covers lunch at the Riverhouse Grill and sundry event planning expenses. Please register and send your
event fee as
soon as possible so we can provide a good headcount to the restaurant. You have

Meeting Place:
At 10:45am
(come earlier if you wish to have breakfast),
we will meet for a briefing at the Cracker Barrel at 8010 SW
Loop 820, Fort Worth
(I-20 and Winscott Road, west of Fort Worth), (817) 249-3360 (see map below).
We will depart immediately after the briefing.
Covid precautions:
Please note that the decision to attend this event
is yours alone, and you assume all risks pertaining to Covid-19 in addition to
the usual risks of event participation. Please do not attend if you have been
exposed to the virus and/or are experiencing Covid or Covid-like symptoms. We
will follow Covid protocols to the extent possible (masks, social distancing,
etc.) to make this event as safe as possible. You will be asked to certify that
you have not knowingly been exposed to Covid-19, and are not experiencing Covid
or Covid-like symptoms. Your temperature will be taken - those who have temps
which reach or exceed the CDC guideline of 100.4 will not be allowed to attend.

better protect yourself and others from this virus.
