Guided Tour and Lunch at The Modern, Fort Worth, TX, Saturday, January 13, 12pm

Our first event of the year will be a guided tour and lunch at the beautiful Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.  The Modern features one of the foremost collections of modern and contemporary art dating from the postwar period to the present. The museum's collection is housed in an elegant contemporary building designed by the renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando.  We will begin our visit with prix fixe lunch at the excellent Café Modern, which is managed by Wolfgang Puck. After lunch, we will enjoy a docent-guided tour of the museum and its collection.

Date and Time:  Noon, Saturday, January 13.  Please be on time.  Lunch is at noon, followed by the tour at 2pm.
Parking: There is free parking across the street and around the museum.
Meeting Place:  Meet us at the South Dining Room of the Café Modern inside the museum. 
The Modern is located at 3200 Darnell Street in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, 817.738.9215.

Lunch Menu:
Starter: Simple House Salad - Crisp Farms Artisanal Lettuces, Tomato, Red Onion, Seasonal Shaved Vegetables, Honeycrisp Apple, Sunflower Seeds, Sherry Vinaigrette
Choice of Entrée: 
Chinois Chicken Salad - Crystal Valley Chicken Breast, Napa Cabbage, Candied Cashews, Crispy Wontons, Sesame Ginger Dressing, Cilantro

Cost and Signup:  The event fee of $60 per person covers both the museum tour and lunch. Alcoholic beverages are extra and you will be billed separately (tax and tip included in the bill). From I-30 heading west past Downtown Fort Worth, take University Drive and head north.  Turn left on Darnell Drive  The museum will be on your right.  3200 Darnell Street, Fort Worth, TX.
