Lone Star Section's 2023 Hill Country Run, Boerne, TX, Friday - Sunday, March 31 - April 2

The Lone Star (Austin) Section has invited us to attend the 2023 Hill Country Run which promises to be a great weekend for fun and camaraderie with your fellow MBCA members.  The 2023 Hill Country Run will be a two-night event. The dates are March 31-April 1, check out on April 2. Our host hotel will be The Bevy Hotel, 101 Herff Rd, Boerne, TX 78006. The room rate is $199.00 plus taxes and fees, which is an excellent rate for this hotel because these rooms are normally $345. This event fills up fast, so don’t wait until the last minute to make your room reservations. Once all the rooms are taken, the event will be closed! There will be no exceptions!

As Lone Star will be hosting, attendees will sign up directly with them, and they will be collecting the event fees.  The registration and payment process will be a bit different from Fort Worth events, so please follow their instructions thoroughly. 

The Fort Worth Section will meet Friday at the Starbucks on 7429 Oakmont Blvd, Fort Worth, Fort Worth at 1:15pm and caravan to Llano. There is also an alternative meeting place in Hico at 2:45pm. INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE LONE STAR SECTION FOLLOW:
To complete your registration, you’ll need to book your room with the the Bevy Hotel, sign up with Lone Star, and pay the event fee to Lone Star.

Friday, March 31

The Sections will meet at Trailblazer Grill (venue has changed), 109 W Main St, in Llano, TX between 4:30 and 5:00 pm for an early dinner (on your own). After dinner we will caravan to the Bevy Hotel in Boerne, TX. 
After arriving at the hotel on Friday evening, we will have free time, to mingle at the hotel bar, relax, etc.

Saturday, April 1, 2023

Breakfast will be on your own(there will be breakfast options at lunch also)

9:00a.m. (leave promptly at 9:30a.m.) - We will line up in the parking lot for the Hill Country Run. We will make our way to lunch (on your own) at  Camp Verde, located at 285 Camp Verde Road East Camp Verde, Texas 78010. After lunch we can enjoy the area or make our way back to Boerne via The Apple Store, located at 14024 State Hwy 16 N Medina, TX 78055 for dessert, shopping, etc. Map and directions provided the day of the drive.

5:00 p.m. – Gather at the hotel bar for socializing, etc. (optional)

5:30 p.m. – Take a short drive to Richter Tavern, located at 153 S. Main St., Boerne, TX  78006

6:00 p.m. – Dinner (on your own)

After dinner we will mingle at the bar and enjoy some games.

Breakfast will be on your own. We will check out and line up at 9:30am. We will make our way back home via Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood.  We will plan to be there by 11:00am.

From I-20 head south on Bryant Irvin.  The Starbucks is in the shopping
center on the left near the corner of Bryant Irvin and Oakmont Blvd.

Friday, March 31, 2:45pm. Valero gas station in Hico.  Caution: the gas station name may have changed.

It is on the corner of TX-6 (2nd Street) and US-281, Hico, TX.  Coming from Fort Worth, it'll be on the right.
