Join us for a country drive to Waco, a BBQ lunch, a craft village visit, and delicious cheese!  Lunch will be at the Red Wagon BBQ, which serves about the best BBQ anywhere. We will have an early lunch to avoid the crowd. Then, we will visit the Homestead Craft Village, established by folks who have decided to simplify their lives with old skills. old traditions and living low-tech. See the pottery shop, woodworking shop, blacksmith forge, water-powered grist mill, textile shop, gift shop and more, all immaculately maintained. The people who run these establishments are very nice and will answer any questions you may have in great detail.  This village and way of life has been featured in Texas Country Reporter some years ago.  Last, we will visit Brazos Valley Cheese, makers of excellent cheeses which you can purchase to take home.  We will also enjoy some cheese and iced tea at their shaded picnic area and rest before the trip home.  Sorry, the cheese factory owners have decided not to allow alcohol at their premises.
