NEXT EVENT:  Fort Worth Aviation Museum and Cooper's BBQ Lunch, Fort Worth, TX, Saturday, May 18, 10am

Join us for a guided tour of the Fort Worth Aviation Museum.  It features a collection of over 30 cold war warbirds which includes a US Navy Blue Angel F/A-18 Hornet, an F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter, a T-33 jet trainer, a Vietnam-era Forward Air Controller (FAC) OV-10 Bronco, and many more aircraft in the outdoor display. You can see the aircraft up close and touch them.  The indoor displays include the Forward Air Controllers gallery, honoring the brave FACs who flew very close-in support missions for ground troops and identified targets for prosecution, sometimes by themselves.  We will meet at the museum and, if the grounds are dry enough, will be guided to park among the aircraft for some photo ops.  After our museum visit, we will enjoy a BBQ lunch at Cooper's near the Stockyards.

As we will remain in Fort Worth, there will be no caravans.  Please make your own way to the venues below.  Parking maps are also below.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
We are NOT visiting the nearby Vintage Flying Museum.  Please do not confuse this with the Fort Worth Aviation Museum.

We will line up on Ross Avenue in front of the Meacham gate beside the aviation museum parking lot at 10am. From there, we will be led through the gate and guided to park amongst the aircraft if the grounds are dry enough or on the street if the grounds are too wet. Please be on time.

12:30pm: Parking Map, Cooper's BBQ: 301 Stockyards Blvd, Fort Worth.
The reservation is made for the Mercedes-Benz Car Club.  We will park to the right of the main entrance.  Let us try to arrive at the same time so please do not leave the museum early.  Parking is supposed to be free because we have Cooper's reservations, but some attendants may not know that.  If an attendant approaches you, say we have reservations at Cooper's.  If they insist on the $10 fee, pay them and get the receipt so Sean or Les, restaurant management, can reimburse you by taking the parking fee off the cost of your meal.  We will be seated at the covered patio as shown below.
